Show me Eternity tells a story hidden for over a century: the romance between Emily Dickinson and Sue Gilbert, her brother Austin’s wife. Austin’s lover, Mabel Todd, edited Emily’s poems and letters in order to create the image of a reclusive spinster. This is a story of forbidden yet everlasting love and erasure of queer identity, told through bewitching poetry and an ethereal folk/pop score.
